Origins Game Shop Welcomed to Grand Terrace with Official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

June 10, 2024, Grand Terrace - Mayor Bill Hussey alongside Council members Doug Wilson, Michelle Sabino, Ken Henderson, and Jeff Allen were on hand for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of Origins Game Shop.

Origins Game Shop is gearing up for its grand opening event on Saturday, June 15, promising an extravaganza for gaming enthusiasts of all ages. From free giveaways to exciting raffles and a Smash Brothers tournament with a $100 first-place prize, the event is set to be a highlight for gamers. With game and vendor booths, unbeatable deals, and an array of food and drinks, there's something for everyone in the family. The event will run from 12 PM to 7 PM, ensuring a day filled with fun and entertainment.

Eric Huerta, the manager and curator of Origins Game Shop, expressed his enthusiasm for the store's diverse offerings. "We strive to cater to all segments of the gaming market, from vintage collectors to avid PlayStation 5 fans," he shared. "Our inventory ranges from collectible cards and figurines to the latest gaming consoles, ensuring that every gamer finds something they love."

The journey of Origins Game Shop began with a location at the Waterman Discount Mall before opening their second location in Grand Terrace. Store owner Jesse Lizama said, “I have been  overwhelmed by the warm welcome and support we have received from the community.”

Whether one is a casual gamer or a hardcore collector, Origins Game Shop aims to meet their needs. With a wide selection of video games, Pokémon cards, comic books, DVDs, and vintage memorabilia, the shop is a one-stop destination for gaming and pop culture enthusiasts.

Councilwoman Sabino expressed her delight at welcoming another new small business to Grand Terrace, emphasizing the shop's appeal to generations of gamers. "We are excited to have Origins Game Shop as part of our community," she remarked.

Origins Game Shop is conveniently located at 22597 Barton Rd. Unit A, with store hours from 2-8 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 1-8 PM on Saturdays. The store remains closed on Sundays and Mondays or visit their website www.originsgameshop.com or call (909) 219-5059.
