Brenda Moore Johnson is this week’s winner of the City News Group, Inc. $1,000 sweepstakes opportunity drawing! As this week’s winner of the weekly prize giveaway, Johnson has won a delightful dinner for two from local favorite, Alice’s Restaurant.
Alice’s Restaurant is thrilled and cannot wait to provide Johnson with a free meal and Johnson was equally excited to know that she had won from Alice’s Restaurant.
“Thank you! It is so fun to win coupons for Alice’s Restaurant,” Johnson said. “I plan to take my Mom whose name just happens to be Alice as well! It is such a nice place to gather together.”
Just as everyone has had to adapt and change their way of living to remain healthy and keep family, friends and neighbors healthy during this pandemic, Johnson maintains a positive outlook in this time of uncertainty saying, “I’m looking forward to a new normal with family and friends.”
Johnson has found absolute bliss in her occupation as a retired GTES teacher and current scholarship coordinator for Owen Locke Memorial Foundation. The foundation Johnson works for was established by the late Gwendolyn Locke who wanted to honor her husband, Owen C. Locke’s enduring interest in providing opportunity and education to underserved populations in California who are not able to pursue their maximum career potential.
“’When you love what you do you never work a day in your life!’” Johnson said.
When she isn’t at the foundation Johnson loves to spend time with her family, gardening and enjoys horses and other critters.
Johnson earned this tasty treat by submitting an online entry form on the City News Group website. At absolutely no purchase necessary, Johnson comes up with the big win of this week’s prize as well as an opportunity to win the grand prize on December third for the chance to win $1,000!
“We are open!” said Alice’s Restaurant. “We want to thank everyone for coming in and for the support.”
