Sweepstakes Winner, Wendy Temples

Wendy Temples is this week’s winner of the City News Group, Inc. $1,000 sweepstakes opportunity drawing! As this week’s winner of the weekly prize giveaway, Temples has won a delightful dinner from local favorite, Alice’s Restaurant.

Temples earned this tasty treat by submitting an online entry form on the City News Group website. At absolutely no purchase necessary, Temples comes up with the big win of this week’s prize as well as an opportunity to win the grand prize on December third of $1,000! You have the chance to win too, but time is running out!

Local businesses all over the Inland Empire are participating in the sweepstakes opportunity drawing and are giving away free weekly prizes. Submit entries every day by clicking on every ad with the sweepstakes “Bag of Money” icon to win even more weekly prizes and for the chance to win the grand prize of $1,000 on December 3rd, just in time for Christmas.

“I saw the contest posted on the website and decided to enter because who couldn't use some extra cash!?” Temples said.

Temples works with the Colton, Redlands, Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program as a graphic design teacher at Grand Terrace High School. Temples, as a teacher and a parent has faced the new challenges brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The pandemic has changed everything I do,” Temples said. “As a teacher I have had adapt all of my lessons to accommodate programs the students are able to use on Chromebooks. As a parent, I also have to make sure my own high schoolers are getting their work completed.”

In her free time, Temples works as a freelance photographer and graphic designer. Temples was excited to win a prize from Alice’s Restaurant saying, “It’s always exciting to win something!”

Alice’s Restaurant is thrilled and cannot wait to provide Temples with a free meal for two.

Alice’s restaurant is located at 867 W Jefferson Street in San Bernardino. They are open Monday through Friday from 6 am-2:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7 am through 2:00 pm. Alice’s is opened for dine-in and to-go options. For to-go orders, you may call 909-381-2014.

“We are now opened for dine-in and we want to thank everyone for coming in and for the support,” said Alice’s Restaurant.

Alice’s Restaurant is the perfect breakfast joint with all your morning meal favorites from 15 different omelet options, other egg combinations with home fries, biscuits or pancakes, and delectable French toast and pancake sandwiches. Alice’s also has over 25 different hamburgers and sandwiches for every lunch craving from a quarter-pound burger, Monte Cristo, Philly Cheese Steak, French Dip, and Chicken Fried Steak all served with a choice of fries, potato salad, macaroni salad, cottage cheese or fruit. Everyone will find something to enjoy at Alice's.
